Emma Rose started making beaded jewellery at the age of sixteen. From there she progressed to polymer clay. Having decided she needed to learn traditional metalsmithing skills she studied for her London Open College Network level one and two in jewellery skills as part of a prefoundation in design whilst simultaneously studying for a prestigious City and Guilds 9231 in photography. Following the completion of these studies she decided to follow her heart and enrolled for a degree in Jewellery, Silversmithing and Allied Arts. Since graduating in 2005 she has also completed a post graduate course in Professional Development in the Visual Arts as well as various short courses in vocational skills.
Emma has been awarded a licenteship with distinction from the Society of Designer Craftsmen and is currently vice chair of the Art Clay World UK guild.
